Join the global movement against hunger
I am taking part in City Against Hunger to fundraise for The Hunger Project, which is a charity that is committed to eradicating hunger. The Hunger Project was set up with the stated intention of empowering people to end their own hunger. In practical terms this means education. Teaching people the knowledge and vital skills needed to eradicate starvation. For example £25 could fund functional adult literacy training for two women so that they can learn to read and write.
The Hunger Project operates in 22 countries in Africa, South Asia and Latin America. An example of their work can be seen in India. During its time in the region The Hunger Project has educated and empowered local woman in 1,979 communities to help them meet the hunger needs of their rural village. The reach of these 1,979 woman is 9 million people. This demonstrates how empowering people to end their own hunger can reach many.
Camarco is looking to help The Hunger Project by taking part in the City Against Hunger event, a 5k mud run that gets individual teams out of the office and into chest deep puddles of mud and grime in Brentwood on the 21st September.
Please help us help those who are less fortunate than ourselves. Any donation to this great cause would be greatly appreciated.
What your donation can achieve:
